About this role
Oversee the financial operations of Intellivizz on a part-time basis. Manage bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and tax coordination across our US and Canadian entities. Ideal for an experienced finance professional who excels at building financial processes from the ground up in a growing technology company.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial management, preferably within a technology or professional services company
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with Canadian accounting standards (ASPE or IFRS)
- Experience managing finances for multi-entity structures across the US and Canada
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and financial modeling in Excel/Google Sheets
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and vendor management
- Working knowledge of US and Canadian corporate tax requirements and coordination with external tax advisors
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create clear financial reports and dashboards for leadership
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional designation preferred but not required
- Self-directed professional who can work independently with minimal oversight
- Experience working in startup or growth-stage environments is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for US and Canadian entities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and present key metrics and insights to leadership
- Develop and maintain budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections to support strategic decision-making
- Coordinate with external accountants and tax advisors for annual filings, compliance, and audit preparation
- Establish and refine financial processes, internal controls, and reporting frameworks as the company scales
- Manage payroll coordination and ensure compliance with employment regulations across jurisdictions
- Track project profitability and provide financial analysis on client engagements and service lines
- Monitor expenses, identify cost optimization opportunities, and manage vendor relationships
- Support leadership with financial modeling for business planning, pricing strategy, and investment decisions
