Wholesale & Trading

Thin margins. Thick paperwork.

Every shipment comes with documents, every supplier with certificates, every price with a moving cost behind it. Agents keep the paper straight and the prices current.

Where the hours go

None of it is hard. All of it is constant — and it is done by the people you would rather have talking to customers and suppliers.

Trade documents

Commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin — assembled by hand for every shipment.

Supplier compliance

Overseas suppliers, many documents, many expiry dates.

Cost moves faster than prices

Freight, duty and supplier costs change; price lists lag behind.

Customer follow-up

Buyers who want quick answers on stock, ETAs and pricing.

Reconciling everything

Supplier invoices, freight bills and payments in different currencies and formats.

Agents that fit.

Each one does a single job inside the systems you already run, stops and asks a person for anything outside your rules, and is measured from the first week.

A day in the life

A container, three days out

The Shipment Exception Agent sees a vessel delay and checks which customer orders depend on that container. It drafts updated ETAs for the six affected buyers, flags two orders that could be filled from stock in another warehouse, and the Customs & Trade Docs Agent has the arrival paperwork assembled for your broker to review.

Every agent starts in shadow mode.

For the first stretch it watches the work and drafts what it would do, while your team keeps doing the job. You compare its drafts to what your people actually did.

It only starts acting when you say so — and only on the kinds of work it has proven it gets right. Anything above a limit you set (a dollar amount, a new customer, a price change) still comes to a person.

Works with your ERP or accounting system, shared inboxes, freight forwarder and broker emails, and spreadsheets.

Questions & Answers

Wholesale & Trading: common questions

No. We do not file entries, we do not determine tariff classification and we do not give trade compliance advice. The agent assembles and checks the document set from your own records; your broker reviews and files.

It watches the cost inputs you point it at — supplier costs, freight bills, duty rates — and drafts the price-list changes that follow, with the working shown. You approve before anything reaches a customer.

That is the usual starting point. Agents read what arrives in a shared inbox: commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates and mill documents, in whatever format they come in, and file them against the shipment and the supplier.

The agent reconciles against the purchase order and the shipment in the currency each document was issued in, and flags the differences rather than resolving them quietly. The rate and the posting decision stay with your finance team.

Bring one process. We will tell you straight.

Pick the job that costs you the most hours, bring a handful of real documents, and leave the session with a plain answer on whether an agent can do it.
